2015 May Revise of California Budget is out.

The LA Times reports that the May revise is out.  In relation to our situation, the article states:

California law dictates that most, if not all, of the windfall will go to schools and community colleges. This is a boon for public education, which suffered sharp cuts during the recession, but could leave less money for other areas of the budget.
The May Revision can be found here.

In a press release, Brice Harris stated:

“Community colleges offer a pathway to economic opportunity—and a path out of poverty for millions of Californians. Recent improvements in the state’s financial condition have enabled us to serve more students and add back classes, but our colleges are still dealing with the consequences of recession-era cuts that forced us to ration education. The governor’s revised budget proposal will aid our recovery and provide more access and support for students to pursue their educational goals.”
The press release by the Chancellor's Office reports a reduction in COLA.  It states:
A decrease of $31.3 million to reflect a downward adjustment in the COLA from 1.58% to 1.02%
STRS obligations still loom.  With the horrible state of our healthcare package which incurs additional out of pocket costs to our faculty and the increase in contributions expected for STRS, our faculty face further erosion in our take home pay.
