City College of San Francisco applies for Restoration.

SF Gate reports that CCSF has applied for "Restoration" which is the new ACCJC device to give the college a chance to comply.  The article states:
This week, college leaders asked theAccrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges to grant it "restoration status" - a new invention created by the commission in June after federal officials pressured it to come up with a way to give City College more time to come into compliance with accrediting standards and avoid closing its doors to nearly 80,000 students.
City College "is participating in this process because it simply has no other administrative option at this time," Chancellor Art Tyler wrote the commission on Monday in a letter identifying tricks and trip-wires in the new status that college leaders fear will let the commission yank its accreditation anyway while preventing the college from appealing such a verdict. The college "submits this (request) with serious reservations."
CCSF has posted the ACCJC's acceptance of their application.
