San Francisco Business Times--20 colleges have problems with accreditation

20 California community colleges face accreditation problems, chancellor says. 

Chancellor Brice Harris believes it is caused by the lack of staffing at his office.  He believes his office needs to catch things before the ACCJC.  Again, it's about budget.  He states:  

Part of the problem is personnel, Harris said. California Community Colleges has not had enough staff to catch problems before the accrediting commission highlights them.
