USC Faculty votes for Union organization

USC's Faculty, have voted to organize into a union.  This is not a CFT/AFT effort, but rather a concerted effort by the Service Employee International Union (SEIU) to unionize the adjunct faculty across America.

USC's response is fascinating.  The article states:
In a letter to faculty earlier this year, then-interim Provost Michael W. Quick said he thought a faculty union would be detrimental to USC’s “collegial processes.”
“The issue is whether a union is good for faculty at a particular university, our University of Southern California,” Quick wrote. “My opinion is that it is not.”
If USC faculty's petition is approved by the National Labor Relations Board, elections could be held early next year.
