The State of Adjuncts from The Pacific Standard

Recently, there has been an increased focus on the use of adjunct instructors at all levels of higher education.  Adjunct instructors often struggle to meet bills and expenses.  Some eventually move on when they can no longer tolerate living under certain wage restrictions.

According to the Pacific Standard,

In our new survey, 62 percent of adjuncts say they make less than $20,000 a year from teaching, and 88 percent say working with students is their favorite part.
