CFT Convention notes Day 2

We had a speaker Jeff Duncan-Andrade from San Francisco State.  He got into this notion that many of our students were experiencing a form of PTSD.  For those who teach at Compton CEC, we already know this.  

The solution that he introduced is this notion of Hope.  I think we have been doing this for a while.

What I got out of this speech was that we at Compton do offer hope.  Given the rehabed profile of Compton Community College at the Convention, we are constantly trying to make Both Black and Brown Lives Matter.

What the speaker did bring up is that this stuff is not being measured yet.  It should.  We would score well on that scale.
