The California State Budget for 2014-15 has been released.  You can see the PDF summary here.

The ACCCA reports that there may be some positive budget news.  How our Administration decides to deal with this is up to conjecture.  This is what the Admin people in California report:

2015-16 State Budget
With the ink barely dry on the 2014-15 State Budget, the Chancellor’s Office is already in the final steps of the 2015-16 State Budget request, which is due to the Administration in September. Based on discussions with the budget workgroup and the Board of Governors (BOG), Vice Chancellor Dan Troy presented the following funding priorities to the Consultation Council this week:
$120 million for approximately 2% growth
$100 million for full-time and part-time faculty
$200 million for student success and student equity plans
$85 million for restoration to categorical programs, including Extended Opportunity Programs and Services, California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids Program, and Basic Skills
$180 million for a 3% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) (based on an SSC-estimated 2.1% COLA)
$25 million for Economic and Workforce Development
$25 million for Professional Development
Please note allocations for growth and full-time and part-time faculty.  COLA is also mentioned at 3%.
