AB 1942 Accreditation Reform Bill in CA Assembly

(b) of Section 70901.
 line 13 (d)  The accrediting agency designated pursuant to subdivision
 line 14 (a) shall comply with all of the following requirements:
 line 15 (1)  Meetings containing subject matters related to the
 line 16 accreditation of a community college shall be held in compliance
 line 17 with the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act (Article 9 (commencing
 line 18 with Section 11120) of Chapter 1 of Part 1 of Division 3 of Title
 line 19 2 of the Government Code).
 line 20 (2)  Documents related to the accreditation of a community
 line 21 college are subject to public disclosure pursuant to the California
 line 22 Public Records Act (Chapter 3.5 (commencing with Section 6250)
 line 23 of Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code).
 line 24 (3)  The accrediting agency shall provide to a community college
 line 25 copies of evaluations and recommendations for the accreditation
 line 26 decision sufficiently in advance of a meeting regarding the
 line 27 accreditation of that institution to permit adequate preparation for
 line 28 the meeting.
