CCSF backs off a 19% raise for Admin

San Francisco Gate reports that at one point, a 19.3% or higher raise was being factored in for the Administration.  This is despite the fact that the college is in the middle of a fight for survival.  It states:

The special trustee who runs the financially troubled City College of San Francisco abruptly withdrew a proposed 19.3 percent raise for administrators Friday after outcry from faculty members, whose salaries have just been cut by 4 percent.
The college sent out a notice withdrawing the proposal "pending further discussion" four hours before the public comment period was to end at 5:30 p.m.
If the item had been approved, vice chancellors and associate vice chancellors already earning between $104,000 and $183,000 would have received raises increasing the pay range to between $124,000 and $219,000.
Robert Agrella, the state-appointed special trustee, said the item had been placed on the agenda erroneously by an employee and was "not appropriate."

Once news of this came out, then it was withdrawn.
